XSLAB Co., Ltd. (CEO YOO MYEONG-HYUN) is set to attend COMEUP 2022, which will be held for 3 days between November 9 (Wed) and 11 (Fri) at Dongdaemun Design Plaza (DDP) in Seoul and showcase their ultra-small personal desktop ARM server and the cloud service built with just the ARM server.

The ‘V-Raptor Series’, XSLAB’s low-power ARM server for data centers, are low-power, high-density server products that boast extreme efficiency to enable their use without concerns of their electricity cost. The corresponding product line can significantly cut operation costs of data centers and has high usability as an edge computing server.

XSLAB’s other product, ‘the Vora Series’, is a line of AI modules and cards based on low-power AI chips that can perform high-performance AI interference even in edge devices.

The ‘V-Raptor SQ nano’, which will be newly introduced, is a personal ARM server workstation. The product will further expand the development environment of ARM servers through SQ-nano and accelerate the switch to ARM servers. Using this product, XSLAB is planning various development community services like tutorials and studies, and they are hoping that the ARM server development ecosystem will become active around SQ-nano.

Following V-Raptor SQ nano, the personal ARM server workstation launched in October, they are preparing for the release of the VORA product line, a line of AI modules and cards based on low-power AI chips. With these ARM server products and peripheral devices as the foundation, they plan to run an active SI business. They plan to launch ‘blueshift’, a cloud service where you can experience the ARM server, in November.

A spokesman of XSLAB explained that, “With the amount of data explosively rising currently, expansion in data centers are a necessity. However, the rapid rise in operating costs in data centers from rising electrical costs is a big problem. Our company’s V-Raptor Series is a server equipped with the low-power, low thermal output ARM processors. It is a stable server with lowered power usage, but with performance comparable to that of Intel’s servers. As such, we are able to noticeably solve the issue with operation costs in data centers.”

They went on to say, “In addition, we developed the V-Raptor SQ nano product to showcase the ARM server technical capabilities accrued over 10 years of focused ARM server development for the first time in Korea to even more consumers. The server industry previously operated in an absolute B2B format, but XSLAB is confidently stepping into the B2C market.”

Having its 4th iteration this year, ‘COMEUP 2022’ is hosted by the Ministry of SMEs and Startups (Minister Young Lee) and is overseen by the Korea Startup Forum (Chairman Jaewook Park). Innovative startups, investors, and startup related people from Korea and over 15 countries are scheduled to attend, and starting from this year in particular, COMEUP will be rebranded into a startup-centered, private sector led event from the existing government-private collaboration that it was before and begin its journey to become one of the 5 big startup events in the world. With the slogan of ‘WE MOVE THE WORLD’, the event will be conducted both on and offline, and will have various programs like Academic Conferences (Conference), Open Innovation Strategy of Global Companies (Open Innovation), COMEUP Stars Company Introduction (IR) and Booth Exhibitions, and Business Matching (Biz Matching).
