The Ministry of Environment (Minister Hwa-jin Han) and the Environment Preservation Association is hosting the 43rd International Exhibition on Environmental Technology & Green Energy (ENVEX 2022), the longest-running and largest environmental exhibition in Korea, from the 8th to the 10th of this month at COEX, Seoul.
This year’s exhibition, which draws visitors for the first time in more than two years since the COVID-19 pandemic, is focused on supporting small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) with promising green technologies to develop new markets.
A total of 267 domestic and foreign companies, including 44 foreign companies from 16 countries, including the United States, China, and Europe, are participating in the exhibition. About 30,000 visitors are expected to attend during the exhibition period.
From water treatment and measurement analysis to achieving carbon neutrality, the latest technologies in the environmental industry will be showcased in a total of 12 halls. In the Carbon Neutral Hall, 22 companies will exhibit new carbon neutral technologies such as carbon capture and biogas facilities.
15 new (venture/start-up) environmental companies will exhibit new technologies using cutting-edge information and communication technology, such as a three-dimensional water and sewerage construction management system, an intelligent leak management platform, and more.
In the newly introduced university coexistence hall, 15 companies will show technologies developed in cooperation with universities, such as a hydrogen leak detection film, heavy metal recovery technology for waste batteries, and more.
Furthermore, online exhibitions, corporate business support programs, and 15 presentations (seminars) and discussions (forums) will simultaneously be held.
In the online exhibition, information on the participating companies’ technologies and products will be available online all year round to provide continued support for purchase consultation activities with buyers even after the exhibition is over.
In addition, events such as export consultation, domestic purchase consultation for public institutions, patent application and intellectual property rightsconsultation, and technology presentations of participating companies were also prepared.
At the ‘Environmental Company Technology and Product Briefing (2022 Environmental Company Matching Day)’ held in the COEX Conference Room (No. 318) on the morning of the 8th, 22 promising green enterprises supported by the Ministry of Environment invited demand organizations such as public and private enterprises, in order to explain environmental technologies and products and conduct customized purchase consultations.
In the afternoon of the same day, an ‘Upcycled Product Briefing’ was held in the conference room (No. 307). In order to lead the use and purchase of upcycled products, corresponding companies explained the advantages and social values of the products. They also presented excellent upcycled products such as bags made of waste fireproof clothing materials.
