The French Korean Chamber of Commerce and Industry – FTCS Completes ‘Tech4Good Tour 2022’ Successfully… Promotes Korea-France Business Cooperation!

‘Tech4Good Tour 2022’, hosted by French Tech Community Seoul (FTCS), which supports the growth of startups, and French Korean Chamber of Commerce and Industry (FKCCI), which represents the Korea-France business community, ended the 5-day event held at Dongdaemun Design Plaza (DDP) on the 23rd with Tech4Good Summit 2022 and the Startup Pitch Contest at the end.

Hosted to improve innovation in the Korean and French startup ecosystem and improve international cooperation, ‘Tech4Good Tour 2022’ successfully ended the 5-day event that started on the 19th and held various programs to improve cooperation between the two countries, such as seminars, introductions to Korean tech startups, business tours with Invest Seoul, and opening joint booths at the ‘Try Everything’ exhibition, and dutifully served its role as a place of exchange. This year in particular, saw its 3rd iteration and a group of 10 selected French startups and French tech communities in Asia were invited for a large-scale event, and was able to improve the business cooperation network.

On the 23rd, the last day of the event, they simultaneously held a joint booth for French startups at the Try Everything exhibition held at DDP, as well as hold the Tech4Good Summit 2022 and the Startup Pitch Contest to successfully conclude the Korea-France business innovation.

In the morning, with around 100 people in attendance, there was a panel discussion on green tech and health tech with a VIP panel. In the afternoon, 13 Korean & French startups selected as the outstanding group presented innovative projects on the subjects of green tech, health tech, edutech, and deep tech. From these, French startup Akila and Korean startup Innerbottle were selected as the final winners with the highest scores, and received a 2 million KRW prize and are also scheduled to receive full support from FKCCI and FTCS for international business cooperation.

Sujin Cho, CHO of Akila, said that, ‘This past week was a truly valuable experience, and we thank the support and planning of FKCCI and LFCS. It was a meaningful week as our team was able to learn a lot about the Korean market through this program.’

Tech4Good Tour 2022 had around 300 people from the Korean and French business community, such as from startups, incubators, accelerators, major corporations, research institutes, and non-profit organizations, and concluded successfully after 5 days. Held in a hybrid form with an on/offline presence through YouTube online streaming, Tech4Good Summit had a total 13 startups from the 25 startup representatives participate in running booths and in the pitch contest and was a place where 18 speakers and panel members could discuss directions. It served as a catalyst for the mutual growth of the Korean and French startup ecosystem, and for the establishment of new cooperation networks.

This year’s 2022 TRY EVERYTHING special articles were jointly planned and conducted by AVING NEWS and the Seoul Business Agency (sba), which contributes to the revitalization of the Seoul economy through comprehensive and systematic nurturing of medium and small-sized enterprises in Seoul.
