‘The 7th Gangwon BIO-EXPO’ had ended in great success, leaving many achievements over the previous year, held at Chuncheon Bio Town in Thurs, Sept 20 to Saturday, 22.

20 biotechnology companies in Gangwon participated in the event and a total of 3000 visitors (increased by 26% year-on-year) had visited. Also, through a charity bazaar to raise funds for the needy, goods and money worth of 4.5 million won were donated and they will be delivered in the neglected groups in the area.

Especially, Job Fair was in progress for skilled manpower supply and demand of Bio-Industry in Gangwon area, Sep 21. More than 800 human resources (increased by 128%, year-on-year) participated in employment consulting related events and there were many achievements including 17 company’s plans to employ more than 30 people.

In addition, 29 Bio companies in Gangwon participated in export consultation held at the Chuncheon Ladena resort in Sep 20 and they met 26 retail buyers who were invited from 9 countries of major Asian region and conducted 191 times one-to-one export consultation. Through them, the performance of 51 contracs(7.88 million dollars, increased by 3.3% over year-on-year) were made.

Marking the seventh year, ‘The GangWon Bio-Expo’ created synergy such as exchanges of Chuncheon Bio-technology cluster, the domestic and overseas markets of local businesses and employment, through exhibitions and special events. And the event was held under the auspices of Gangwon and Chuncheon. Cuncheon Bio-Industry Development Institute, Gangwon Techno park, Hongcheon Medical Hub Research Institute, Kangwon National University and Hallym University took part in the event.
