The largest Korean marine leisure industry exhibition “Gyeonggi International Boat Show 2017 (hereinafter referred to as the “KIBS”)” was held at KINTEX, Goyang City, hosted by the Ministry of Oceans and Gyeonggi-do and was held jointly with the KINTEX, KOTRA, and Waterway Plus.
According to Gyeonggi-do, the Gyeonggi International Boat Show that is celebrating its 10th anniversary this year, will be held by a total of 261 exhibitors with 1607 booths, which exceeds the adequate booth number of 1500 booths that can be accommodated in 3 Halls (32,157㎡) located at the KINTEX No.1 Exhibition Hall. As a result, the hosting company, even after the rush of the participants application and deadline, to meet the potential demand that continued, the organizers have reduced some passageways and optimized transport lines for exhibits such as yachts and boats.
The Gyeonggi International Boat Show which has truly become a representative Korean Marine Leisure Industry exhibition, this year as well, have prepared various other events such as, marine exhibits, kayaks and free SUP Board experience in connection with ARA Gimpo Marina.

Since its first opening in 2008, the Gyeonggi International Boat Show has grown every year, winning International Boat Show Organizer Federation(IFBSO) Platinum Certification, Union des Foires Internationales (UFI) Trade Fair Certification, International Council of Marine Industry Associations(ICOMIA) membership qualifications one after the other, which it is recognized for its credibility from both inside and outside the county, is called as one of the ‘Top Three largest Boat Show in Asia’ and is also called as biggest Korean comprehensive marine leisure industry.
