[SWEET 2012 on-site] Hyundai and Kia Motors exhibits a hydrogen fuel cell car Tucson ix

Hyundai and Kia Motors participated from April 24 (Tues.) to 26 (Thurs.) in the Solar, Wind & Earth Energy Trade Fair 2012 (SWEET 2012) held in the Kim Dae-jung Convention Center in Gwangju and showcased its hydrogen fuel cell bus and car.Hyundai Motor Company cooperated with about 120 Korean parts making companies to develop Tucson ix, a car running on hydrogen fuel cells. As such, over 95 percent of its core parts are Korean made. Hyundai improved the design of core parts through modularization of the fuel cell system and downsizing of parts to develop a hydrogen fuel cell system similar to the size of existing gasoline run engines before pilot supplying and fully mass producing the car.In particular, through integrated modularization of the fuel cell system composed of fuel cell stacks - a core part of a hydrogen fuel cell car - driving devices, inverter, and a high voltage junction box, the system was downsized 20 percent and the assembling and maintenance of the car improved to provide the technological basis for future production and supply of fuel cells run cars.Meanwhile, 'SWEET 2012' the only New & Renewable Energy exhibition held in Honam area, is held to crack the overseas new and renewable energy market and to come up with an alternative for global warming and energy crisis and to provide an optimized platform to crack the overseas renewable energy market. Also they  show all things for future energy replacing fossil fuel.Go to 'SWEET 2012' Speial Page(Photo: hydrogen-oxygen fuel cell bus)
