PWC, Nonce Paolini and John Smith look to future at MIPCOM

SEOUL, France (AVING Special Report on 'MIPCOM 2010') -- <Visual News> MIPCOM 2010 will bring together two of Europe's top television executives on the same keynote speaker platform. Nonce Paolini, CEO of Groupe TF1, and John Smith, Chief Executive of BBC Worldwide, will share their vision of the state of the global television industry.

As part of the MIPCOM conference programme, Marcel Fenez, Global leader Entertainment & media practice at PricewaterhouseCoopers, will present the PWC Global Entertainment & Media Outlook, outlining forecasts for growth in the media and leisure industries, on Monday 4 October in the Grand Auditorium of the Palais des Festivals, Cannes.

This highly-anticipated industry report will be followed by interviews conducted by Marcel Fenez with the bosses of TF1 and BBC Worldwide, Nonce Paolini and John Smith respectively. These two influential executives will give their thoughts on the current state of the global entertainment industry and their outlook for the next five years.

"The impact and pace of digital transformation and the unrelenting consumer appetite for faster, newer and more exciting user experiences is causing real challenges for the industry," analyses Marcel Fenez. "How do they keep pace with these fast, frantic but potentially fantastic developments within the industry, while continuing to meet the needs of their customers and deliver services or content at a price which is affordable. In conversation with TF1 and BBC Worldwide we'll hear how these two companies are handling the challenges and harnessing the potential of this digital revolution."
