[Preview 4YFN] Fake Eyes Participates in '4YFN' with VR game, 'Colony Avengers'

‘Fake Eyes’, supported by the Smart Venture Campus participates in ‘4YFN (4 Years From Now)’, a global start-up fair jointly held with MWC 2018, to introduce online multi-play mobile VR F.P.S. game ‘Colony Avengers’ from Feb. 26(Mon) to Feb. 28(Wed).

'BEST OF MIK @ 4YFN' selected only excellent companies among '4YFN' exhibitors, and selected companies will be given opportunities to press pitch with foreign journalists such as USAh, Cina and Germany. Furthermore, it becomes the subject of Top3 selected by global media.

Fake Eyes is developing the VR technology leading the 4th industrial revolution era and now has secured the environment construction technology that can connect up to 8 people simultaneously in mobile VR environment and perform various roles. In particular, the technology is used to service the online multiplayer mobile VR FPS game "Colony Avengers". Although its market is in the initial phase, it is used by more than 10,000 users in just six months.

Freak Eyes' 'Colony Avengers' has produced the DOOM series as a prototype since the earliest version, a work by FPS legend John Carmack. The FPS genre has undergone many developments since the DOOM series, and in the modern world, multiplayer functionality is essential. So, ‘Colony Avengers’ was developed for online multiplayer FPS games.

Particularly, the reason for adoption of mobile environment is not only the existing users' mobile can be used as it is, but also because there is no sensor to be installed separately for VR environment configuration and users can easily access and conveniently use it. With mobile VR support, all users can play 'Colony Avengers' using their mobile devices. In mobile VR environment, up to 8 people can connect at the same time and play the game steadily.

Although most games can only play co-ops even if they support multiplayer, ‘Colony Avengers’ can play co-op and battle games to stimulate users' co-operation and competition and to attract more users. Colony Avengers can play more comfortably by developing and applying various systems to lower the frequency of dizziness as well as UX/UI design.

An official said, "We will update various contents through graphics and system development and story play. And we will apply a variety of device simulators so that we can enjoy virtual reality theme parks."

Kim Seok-jung, CEO of Fake Eyes, said, "We are benchmarking the Supercell, a Swedish company acquired by Softbank, as a role model, starting with a small start-up, but with a huge value and philosophy.” He also said, “John Carmack is also admired by the American developer. The game pursuing like DOOM is ‘Colony Avengers’. And John Carmack is a legend of the programmer who developed DOOM."

Kim said, "We are targeting North American users. We want to meet 'nDreams', a UK VR specialty publisher, at 4YFN and look forward to meeting with distributors like XGames in South America."

On the other hand, the Smart Venture Campus, which is in the process of supporting companies, runs a variety of projects to discover and nurture talented young CEOs and specialists in the areas of apps, web, contents, SW, and convergence.
