Paprika Data Lab Inc. (CEO Yuvin Kim) participated in SLUSH 2022, an event for startups held in Helsinki, Finland from November 17 (Thursday) to 18 (Friday).
Paprika Data Lab was established with the mission to “value data that we easily find in daily life as we value paprika seeds,” which are also easily found but have more value than gold. It is a data transaction platform that strives to transform the world so that anyone, not just giant conglomerates, can easily collect and make profits using data.
Walla, which was introduced at this year’s SLUSH, is a one-stop SaaS platform for surveys that covers every step from creating surveys to delivering rewards, and provides customization for questionnaires and survey links. The service supports data analysis through communication by department with team collaboration functions, and offers a distribution function for in-house panels for customers using the service in Korea.
According to a Paprika Data Lab representative, “What sets our service apart is that we cover every step of the survey process from the very beginning to the very end, from the UX and UI all the way to rewards. We wanted to make the survey design and reward distribution process easier for our users. We also implemented data wallets to ensure the anonymity of survey takers when it comes to receiving rewards, which helped us eliminate the unnecessary collection of personal information. In addition, our tool collects real-time location data, as well as photos and videos, all of which were difficult to collect using existing survey tools, which makes the service useful for academic and research purposes.”
SLUSH is a renowned Northern European global startup exhibition, first held in 2008, where startups from all around the world meet major investors in Europe and Finland. The companies participating in SLUSH 2022 took part in promoting their companies by running the K-STARTUP Pavilion, the side event “K-STARTUP Demo Day,” and networking with professional investors using a matchmaking tool.
