[Pangyo Tech] LIG Nex1 participates in ‘Indo Defense’ at the Indonesian defense industry exhibition

LIG Nex1 participates in 'Indo Defense 2022', Indonesia's largest international defense industry exhibition held in Jakarta for 4 days from November 2nd.

Through this exhibition, LIG ​​Nex1 introduces strategic export products that can contribute to Indonesia's military modernization policy, such as ▲ the mid-range surface-to-air guided weapon ‘Chungung-II’ ▲ the anti-tank guided weapon ‘Hyungung’ and ▲ the portable surface-to-air guided weapon ‘Singung’. ‘Indo Defense’ has been held biennially since 2004 and this year’s event is the ninth since the 2020 exhibition, which was canceled due to COVID-19, and 550 global companies from 40 countries around the world participate.

LIG Nex1 started exporting PRC-999K, the frequency hopping radio to Indonesia in 2006 and has been participating in 'Indo Defense', the largest comprehensive exhibition in Indonesia's land, sea, and air military fields, since 2008. In particular, the Indonesian office was established in 2013, and in 2020, the company has been focusing on expanding the export market in Southeast Asia by supplying a common frequency communication system (TRS) and supplying a number of communication equipment and systems to the Indonesian armed forces and the National Police Agency.

LIG Nex1 plans to actively use this exhibition in Indonesia as an opportunity to expand the defense industry in Southeast Asia based on the trust between the two countries built through local exports and the friendly cooperative relationship in the military sector.

Starting with the U.S. office in 2009, LIG Nex1 opened Latin America office in 2011, Indonesia office in 2013, Saudi office in 2016, and the UAE office in 2018 sequentially, by securing overseas business manpower and operating the organizations specializing in overseas export. And it is all based on Koo Bon-sang, LIG’s Chairman’s firm will, “The answer to sustainable growth is expanding exports to overseas markets.”

In particular, LIG ​​Nex1 succeeded in exporting the Cheongung-II to the UAE. And this year alone, the company participated in 'UMEX 2022', an unmanned robot exhibition held in the UAE in February, 'WDS 2022', a Saudi defense exhibition held in March, and 'DSA 2022' held in Malaysia this march.

In April, it participated in 'ADAS 2022' in the Philippine, and In July it participated in 'RIMPAC 2022', the world's largest multinational combined maritime exercise led by the US Navy. And in August, it participated in 'D&S 2022', an international defense exhibition in Thailand and conducted their marketing activities for obtaining foreign orders.
