[Pangyo Tech] Breezm Introduces 3D Printed Personal Glasses on Pangyo Techno Valley YouTube Channel

3D custom eyewear brand Breezm (CEO Woosuk Sung, Hyungjin Park) introduced their 3D custom glasses and the Breezm app through the YouTube channel of Pangyo Techno Valley, a global IT·BT·CT·NT centered global convergence R&D hub cluster.

Breezm is Korea’s first 3D custom eyewear company that was founded in May of 2017 when experts in eyewear production and distribution met with experts in 3D printing and IT software. Starting with their store in Yeoksam in 2018, they continued to open stores in Yeouido, Seoul City Hall, Samsung-dong, and Pangyo to provide custom glasses to customers.

The frames of Breezm’s glasses are made by using expensive industrial 3D printers to harden a powdered material (PA12) with lasers. This method gives the glasses elasticity and strength, making it lighter than existing acetate glasses, and less likely to easily break or bend on impact.   In addition, using self-developed surface treatment and coloring technology, they can express vivid colors and unique textures.

People can use the Breezm app which uses 3D scanning, 3D printing, big data technology, and virtual fitting to have glasses, in the style, size, and color that fits the user best, recommended to them. It provides a customizing service that takes the height of the user’s nose, the height of their ears, and other characteristics or irregularities into consideration to make glasses that fit perfectly and comfortably.

It can reflect a completely personalized size and proportion adjustments, giving a total of 2 3D modeling trials to reduce the misgivings or errors of the customers.

Breezm has been selected as the winner of the Innovation Award in the Health & Wellness category of CES 2022, the world’s greatest electronic/ IT exhibition. Breezm’s innovativeness has been recognized as the world’s only D2C service that is responsible for everything from production to sales of 3D custom glasses.

Meanwhile, Breezm aims to open the 1st offline store in the Silicon Valley region in the first half of 2023, planning to enter the US market to provide the best customer experience with a connected online and offline service.
