NIPA helps computer graphics companies create jobs: 2019 Computer Graphics (CG) Recruiting Camp to be held soon

Ministry of Science and ICT (Minister Yu Young-min, MSIT and National IT Industry Promotion Agency (President Kim Chang-young, NIPA) announced that they are looking for participants to attend 2019 Computer Graphics (CG) Recruiting Camp that will be held at Siheung Daegyo HRD Center for two days from Aug. 27.

CG Recruiting Camp is designed to help students find creative talents in the field of computer graphics and connect them to CG/VFX/animation companies in Korea for recruitment.

Participants will be receiving support by offering close mentoring of CG company employees during the camp, developing planning abilities as they complete the assignment given by the participating companies. Those who are qualified in both expertise and character will have the chance to be hired at CG companies.

There are four fields of application, 2D (Nuke, Match-Move, Matte-Paint), 3D (Maya/Max, Sculpting), FX (Houdini, Maya/Max) and New Media(Unreal, Unity), with the quota of 60.

Ten companies including Studio Macrograph (CG maker of the film The Admiral: Roaring Currents) Dexter Studio (Along with the Gods) and Cocoa Vision (Extreme Job) will participate as the mentors in the camps.

President Kim Chang-yong from NIPA said, “In the full-fledged 5G era, the range of using computer graphic technologies like VR/AR/hologram will expand even further. We will contribute in creating jobs by discovering and supporting outstanding talents in this field.”
