New from BRABUS for all G-Class Models: The Smooth-Ride Suspension with Dynamic Control for the G

BERLIN, Germany (AVING) -- <Visual News> Especially comfortable and yet sporty and agile: The new smooth-ride suspension with dynamic control from BRABUS(www.brabus.com) meets the demands of many owners of a Mercedes G-Class.

The BRABUS high-tech suspension system was developed in cooperation with technology partner BILSTEIN. It features two-way adjustable shock absorbers front and back. The control unit of the BRABUS Ride Control suspension manually or automatically switches the electronically triggered valves in each shock absorber between sport and comfort mode for firmer or softer damping rates. The switch between modes takes just milliseconds.

The advantage of the innovative BRABUS suspension design is obvious. Drivers of a G-Model can manually choose from two different setups: For normal driving the comfort mode of the suspension provides a much smoother ride than the production car. This effect is especially welcome for driving at typical autobahn speeds or for driving on rough roads and in terrain. At more extreme speeds and for spirited driving selecting the firmer sport setup offers more dynamic handling and further increased safety reserves.

In addition, the BRABUS Ride Control suspension also features fully automatic adjustment of damper rates. In comfort mode the CAN control unit automatically switches to the firmer sport setup within five milliseconds if the vehicle sensors detect that certain driving parameters such as speed, lateral acceleration and steering angle might lead to critical situations. The firmer damper rates then further increase the driving stability of the 4x4.

Conversely the CAN control unit also detects a return to a more moderate way of driving. In that case it switches the damper rates back to the comfort position to provide the smoothest ride possible. An aluminum button sporting the BRABUS logo on the center console lets the driver select the sport mode manually at any time, even while driving.

The dynamically controlled BRABUS Ride Control smooth-ride suspension costs EUR 5,950 and is available for all Mercedes G-Class models regardless of body style, from the G 350 CDI and the G 500 to the G 55 AMG.
