Looxid Labs selected as one of the 9 finalists for Real-Time Live! of SIGGRAPH 2020

Looxid Labs Inc.(CEO Brian Yongwook Chae), a startup that has developed an AI-driven VR/AR user analytics cloud platform combined with biometrics, was selected as one of the 9 finalists to showcase innovations at Real-Time Live! of SIGGRAPH 2020. During the program, Looxid Labs will present real-time user interaction in VR powered by brain-computer interface technology.

SIGGRAPH 2020 is one of the most highly respected venues for the presentation of new computer graphics technology and research. This SIGGRAPH favorite Real-Time Live! is an exciting one-night-only live event that spotlights the most cutting-edge real-time project demos of the year. It will take place virtually on Tuesday, 25 August at 4 pm PDT. For the upcoming virtual conference, the juries selected nine of the newest gaming and interactive techniques including brain-sensing technology, VR, deep fakes, and more.

In the popular Real-Time Live!, the audiences and the juries will vote for the “Best-in-show” real-time demo among nine of the jury-selected projects. Looxid Labs’ showcase will compete with the best innovation project teams such as Walt Disney Imagineering and Nvidia joint project team, which will demonstrate the technological innovations behind the delivery of ‘Millennium Falcon’: Smugglers’ Run interactive attraction. At SIGGRAPH 2019, GauGAN, NVIDIA’s viral real-time AI art application won two major SIGGRAPH awards, “Best of Show” and “Audience Choice,” at the Real-Time Live!.

“This year, the exciting projects selected think outside the current real-time tech landscape,” shared SIGGRAPH 2020 Real-Time Live! Chair Marc Olano, of University of Maryland, Baltimore County. “Although we all hoped to share these demos in person everyone is really looking forward to revealing them virtually. We’ll have streams coming in from Seoul to Prague – and many other spots in between – and I hope you’ll join us for what is sure to be an evening of inspiration and astonishment.”

“It is a great honor to demonstrate our brain-computer interface-combined real-time interaction technique, which connects users’ minds to VR, at the world’s most influential conference in computer graphics and interactive techniques,” said Brian Yongwook Chae, the CEO of Looxid Labs. “By the end of 2020, we will launch an AI-powered real-time user analytics cloud platform, which collects and analyzes the bio-signals simultaneously, to be the help of identifying and training users’ cognitive function in VR,” he added.

The next-generation brainwave interface technology, which will be presented by Looxid Labs, is now available at $299 on the Looxid Link webpage (https://looxidlabs.com/looxidlink/). SIGGRAPH provides detailed information about the project teams on its website, https://s2020.siggraph.org/conference/program-events/real-time-live/.
