PK Valve (www.pkvalve.co.kr), located in Changwon, Gyeongnam, unveiled various industrial valves at “KORMARINE 2015”, which runs for four days from Tuesday the 20th to Friday the 23rd at BEXCO.PK Valve is a leading company in the domestic industrial valve field. At 88 inches, it has manufactured the longest GATE valve in the country.These days, valves that can be used for cryogenic services (valves that can be tested at minus-196℃) have been in the spotlight, especially with the increasing usage of LNG.In 1988, PK Valve was registered as a domestic producer of cryogenic valves by the Korea Gas Corporation. And this May, the company provided 48-inch cryogenic butterfly valves to the LNG terminal in Boryeong.In addition, the company supplied 1,300 cryogenic butterfly valves to the Korea Gas Corporation, LNG production bases in Pyeongtaek, Incheon, Tongyeong, and Samcheok, and POSCO’s LNG terminal in Gwangyang.Furthermore, the government ordered six LNG ships to transport shale gas, and among these, the company succeeded in manufacturing 120 28-inch cryogenic butterfly valves for two Hyundai LNG ships.Held biennially since 1978, KORMARINE is an exhibition that focuses on shipbuilding, marine, oil, and gas industries. Taking place at BEXCO in Busan, it is a representative event of the domestic shipbuilding industry. There are 15 halls for the participating countries, and 1,200 companies are running 2,220 booths.
