Korea's Notable Smart Content Companies Enter the Global Stage Through Smart Content Pavilion in MWC 2018

At the world's largest mobile show 'Mobile World Congress 2018' to be held in Barcelona Spain from February 26 to March 1, a joint Korean pavilion 'Smart Content Pavilion' will be set up to present 8 Korea's outstanding smart contents. The Smart Content Pavilion of MWC 2018 will be organized by Korea's government institutions, the Ministry of Science and ICT and the National ICT Industry Promotion Agency, with 8 excellent smart content companies taking part.

South Korea is showing the highest rate of smartphone usage in Asia. According to a data from Mobile Apps in APAC 2016 Report, over 91 percent of South Korean mobile consumers had smartphones in 2016. With the developed mobile market, many of the talented smart content companies from South Korea are preparing to enter the global stage with their own competitive contents. Among them, 8 smart content companies selected under strict standards for their excellence will participate in the joint pavilion.

The Smart Content Pavilion set up for the fifth time this year aims to promote Korea's smart content industry and expand opportunities for capable smart content companies to enter the global market under the slogan of 'Let’s Share Better Life.'

In particular, this year's pavilion will be located in App.Planet(Hall 8.1) with 8 types of different smart contents. These contents will be in the form of applications that can be realized on diverse smart devices including smartphone, smart watch, 3D 360° smart camera, bicycle lock, fitness hoop, color therapy light, and visitors can experience firsthand each exhibited smart content.

There will also be business meetings arranged for Korean smart content companies to build relationship with world renowned buyers and publishers. And through a networking event held on the spot for buyers from all over the world, Korean smart content companies will be able to lay a ground to enter the overseas markets.
