KOREA PACK Special & ICPI WEEK 2021 ends in success with gathering of 34,000 industry officials!

- Automated packaging and eco-friendly packaging, logistics robots, and 600 pharmaceutical/bio/cosmetics products exhibited

- Provided the latest technology and information by holding more than 80 additional events simultaneously

- Connected 69 Korean companies to have 98 consultations and achieved approximately $15 million in export consultation

KOREA PACK Special & ICPI WEEK 2021 washeld at KINTEX Goyang for four days from May 25 to 28. During the exhibitionperiod, 34,000 people involved in the industry gathered, and the show endedsuccessfully.

Hosted by Korea Packaging MachineryAssociation, Korea Integrated Logistics Association, PackNet, Science21, IUNews, Kyongyon Exhibition Corp., and KY Expo, this exhibition is a B2B industryexhibition consisting of seven specialized exhibition halls covering packaging,logistics, and pharmaceutical/bio which experienced great changes andinnovations due to COVID-19 pandemic, and product development, R&D,processing, packaging, and logistics and distribution for cosmetic industries.The seven exhibitions are as follows: ▲KOREA PACK Special ▲KOREA MAT ▲COPHEX▲KOREA CHEM ▲KOREA LAB ▲KOREA PHARM & BIO ▲CI KOREA

This year, 632 leading companies in eachindustry exhibited and exhibited advanced packaging automation, eco-friendlypackaging, logistics robots, R&D analysis equipment,pharmaceutical/bio/cosmetics development products and advanced technologies in2,000 exhibition booths. Also, 80 conferences and seminars, awards ceremony,networking forums and new product presentations, online government policybriefings, and video export consultations inviting overseas buyers were heldduring the exhibition, providing a variety of information on market trends andfuture visions.

Particularly, Kyongyon Exhibition Corp.,which was the host of the exhibition, used its past experience of holdingexhibitions during COVID and newly provided untact and digital services for thesafety of participants and to cope with COVID-19 pandemic.

In the event hall, new types of untactexhibition service, ▲ Four-step Quarantine Procedure for Entering ExhibitionHall ▲ Kiosk Unmanned Registration System ▲ Online Exhibition Hall ▲ VideoExport Consultation with Overseas Buyers ▲ Live Broadcast of the Exhibition ▲Webinars, were showcased.

Among them, the online video exportconsultation jointly organized by the Korea International Trade Association andKyongyon Exhibition Corp. used ZOOM and WeChat to communicate with 26 overseasbuyers from 14 countries including Thailand, China, Japan, and India. A totalof 98 consultations were held, with 1.5 million dollars worth of exportconsultation amount.

The online exhibition hall newly launchedthis year opened concurrently with the offline exhibition. It is still inservice to help Korean companies suffering from slow business due to COVIDpandemic to get in touch with Korean and overseas buyers. The online exhibitionhall has Virtual Booth, Business Meeting, Web Conference, and Live relaycorner, and non-face-to-face consultations between participating companies andKorean and foreign buyers and customer inquiry services are provided. Theonline exhibition hall is jointly developed by the Ministry of Trade, Industryand Energy, KOTRA, Association of Korean Exhibition Industry, and KyongyonExhibition Corp.
