Fine Steel participated in the KOREA PACKSpecial & ICPI WEEK 2021 held at KINTEX, Goyang from May 25 (Tue) to 28(Fri), and introduced its ECO-VCM film composite steel plate made withwater-soluble film.
Founded in August 2020, Fine Steel is acompany that provides a solution that allows users to freely put all food incans. Iron is strong and easy to process, making it the best material for foodor any container. However, to prevent iron rust (corrosion) and protect theinside of the can, the chemical raw material called epoxy resin is used, andbisphenol A (BPA) is released. Fine Steel makes pure metal cans free fromadhesives and epoxy resins by attaching chemically stable PET to steel sheetsby using water-soluble polymer resins.
At this exhibition, Fine Steel introducedan eco-friendly technology that does not use epoxy paint or printing paint atall for the surface treatment of cans.
Lee Seong-hyun Lee, Manager of Fine Steel'sManagement Support Team, said, "Our products have the advantage of notbeing exposed to harmful chemicals such as environmental hormones and volatileorganic compounds because our products do not use printing paints orsolvent-based adhesives that have been used in the past. Because it isincorporated into a steel sheet, it has excellent printability, and it canexpress holograms and complex printability that cannot be done by conventionalmethods.”
When asked about future plans, Lee said,"Our goal is to expand our items to create a world in which all containersmade of iron can be free from environmental hormones."
Before the opening of KOREA PACK 2021, anonline exhibition hall service where visitors can see exhibitors’ products wasunveiled on May 17 (Mon). This online exhibition hall was designed for overseasbuyers who cannot enter Korea due to COVID pandemic and Korean SMEs havingdifficulty entering overseas. The organizer is supporting export channels byholding the first online export consultation at the KINTEX from May 25 to 28for Korean exhibitors and overseas buyers that have been matched.
