The KOREA LIFE SCIENCE WEEK 2021 exhibition and conference was held on November 3rd at COEX in Samseong-dong, Seoul (Exhibition Hall B2 on the 1st floor, Conference Halls E5 and E6 on the 3rd floor).
This exhibition was held for two days from the 3rd to the 4th, and share knowledge, experiences and ideas between the scientific community and industry experts such as industry, academia, research institute, and the military that develop K-Bio to further develop this field and promote promising technologies at the same time.

This event is under supervision of Kyungyon Exhibition Corp, and hosted and sponsored by South Korean Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy, City of Seoul Chungcheongbuk-do, Korea Fund for Regenerative Medicine, Korea Research Institute of Bioscience and Biotechnology, Korea Drug Research Association, Council for Advanced Regenerative Medicine, Korea Biomedicine Industry Association, Ajou Regulatory Science Center, Advanced Medical Bio Research Institute, Pharmaceutical Strategy Institute and others.
In the exhibition hall located in Hall B2 on the 1st floor of COEX, you can meet 100 suppliers of pharmaceuticals, advanced biotechnology, health functional products, functional materials, medical devices, infrastructure/convergence technology, regenerative medicine/diagnostics, and research/experimental analysis equipment. In addition, there will be a joint pavilion introducing promising bio start-ups and a separate KDRA Bio Health Partnering & Poster Zone, where companies, universities, and research institutes introduce their excellent technologies.
In the exhibition hall B2, a special conference venue will be prepared along with an exhibition booth to hold an IR investment forum for promising bio ventures and startups and an IR investment forum for excellent R&D companies. This IR forum is hosted by the Korea Drug Research Association, and this year, 15 promising bio-venture start-ups and 10 R&D-oriented high-quality pharmaceutical bio companies are planning to participate, giving presentations and investment consultations to venture capitalists, investment institutions, and biopharmaceutical companies.
Korea Life Science Week will be held in the exhibition hall and conference hall for two days under the themes of cutting-edge bio, new drugs, and convergence medical products that lead the future growth engine of the K-bio health industry.
In this conference and seminar, about 60 lectures are held in a total of 7 sessions. The Ministry of Food and Drug Safety, Ajou Regulatory Science Center, Advanced Medical Bio Research Institute, Korea Drug Research Association, Korea National Enterprise for Clinical Trial, Hongneung Clustering Project Group, K-BD Group, Korea Fund for Regenerative Medicine, Council for Advanced Regenerative Medicine, Korea Research Institute of Bioscience and Biotechnology, and Medi Helpline will participate.
The 2021 Convergence Medical Product Safety Technology Conference hosted by the Ministry of Food and Drug Safety, Ajou Regulatory Science Center, and Advanced Medical Bio Research Institute under the theme of 'Convergence medical products, innovation and regulatory harmony' in the 4th Industrial Era was held on the first day of the conference hall(E5) on the 3rd floor of COEX. At the conference, the experiences and knowledge of domestic and foreign experts will be shared under the themes of 'Global regulatory trends and prospects for convergence medical products' and 'Advanced bio convergence medical products, innovation and regulatory harmony’.
The 1st Pharmaceutical Bio-Health Statistical Forum in 2021 under the theme of 'Current status quantitative data-based pharmaceutical bio and future strategy' will be held on the first day of the first day at special seminar hall B, COEX Hall B.
Hosted by the Korea Drug Research Association and the Korea National Enterprise for Clinical Trial, this event will discuss the domestic and international market trends and prospects for ▲pharmaceutical/bio industry ▲clinical trial ▲M&A and licensing deals ▲quantitative patent application.
The Pharmaceutical Bio Business Development Strategy Forum hosted by the Korea Drug Research Association and the Hongneung Clustering Project Group will be held on the first day in the special seminar hall B, Hall B on the 1st floor of COEX. At this forum, professional consultants, listed pharmaceutical companies, investment institutions, and research institutes are planning to present strategies for win-win cooperation with bio-startups.
The Advanced Regenerative Medicine Development Strategy Forum will be held on the second day (November 4th) in the conference room (E6) on the 3rd floor of COEX. This event, hosted by the Korea Fund for Regenerative Medicine and the Council for Advanced Regenerative Medicine, provides a venue for revitalizing the regulatory environment and technology trends of advanced biopharmaceuticals and clinical research. In the morning session, in the first year of the enforcement of the Advanced Regenerative Bio Act, regulations and development trends for cutting-edge biopharmaceuticals will be discussed. In the second part, there will be a presentation time for the major tasks selected for the regenerative medical technology development project by all ministries. The supervisor, Kyungyon Exhibition Corp., will hold an overseas export video conference in the conference room (E1) on the 3rd floor of COEX for small and medium-sized pharmaceutical bio and health SMEs suffering with difficulties in exporting overseas due to COVID-19. This year, buyers from 15 countries, including Iran, Thailand, Hong Kong, Jordan, Malaysia, Singapore, Turkey, India and Belarus, were invited in the fields of distribution, investment, and R&D and it will help finding matches for buyers on their needs. The supervisor is aiming for 45 consultations and $500,000 export consultations through this conference.
