Korea International Safety & Health Show 2021 held ad KINTEX Ilsan... with 120 Korean and foreign companies exhibiting in 470 booths scale

Hosted by Korea Occupational Safety andHealth Agency and organized by Korea Safety Equipment Association, KoreaInternational Safety & Health Show 2021 (KISS 2021) kicked off on July 5(Mon) at Hall 8 of the Ilsan KINTEX 2.

This exhibition where visitors can seesafety and health products of Korea and overseas at a glance will be held forfour days, July 5-8.

As the Severe Accident Punishment Act willcome into effect in January 2022, interest in corporate safety and health isgrowing significantly. Reflecting this atmosphere, this exhibition will providean opportunity to check the latest technologies and new products in the fieldof safety and health at a glance.

About 120 companies related to safety andhealth products from home and abroad will participate in this exhibition. Thevenue has been moved from COEX to KINTEX this time. Also with a scale of 470booths, more than 10,000 new products and new technologies covering safety,health, construction, work environment improvement, environment, sanitation,quarantine, firefighting, and other safety-related fields like protective gear,will be exhibited.

Interest in quarantine products iscontinuing to rise due to prolonged COVID-19 pandemic, and as the safety andhealth responsibilities of companies are strengthened with the enforcement ofthe Severe Accident Punishment Act, many buyers and visitors are expected tovisit.

A staff from the exhibition secretariatsaid, "The interest in safety and health products from front-linecompanies is high as the Severe Accident Punishment Act will be enforced fromnext year along with interest in quarantine products due to the prolongedCOVID-19. Through this exhibition, we will demonstrate the excellence of thelatest safety and health products and do our best to make the exhibition astage that can contribute to the prevention of industrial accidents.”

On the day of the exhibition, Minister ofEmployment and Labor Ahn Gyeong-deok, Occupational Safety & Health AgencyChairman Park Doo-yong, Korea Society of Safety Chairman Kim Doo-hyeon, KoreaIndustrial Health Association Chairman Baek Heon-ki, Safety Living PracticePeople’s Coalition Co-CEO Jeong Jae-hee, Korea Enterprises Federation’sFull-time Vice President Lee Dong-geun, Economic, Social & Labor CouncilChairman Moon Seong-hyeon, K-Biz Full Time Vice President Seo Seung-won, KoreaIndustrial Safety Association CEO Park Jong-sun, Korea Association ofOccupational Health Nurses CEO Kim Sook-young, and Korea Safety EquipmentAssociation CEO Lee Seung-hwan attended to highlight the event.

The show is held as part of OccupationalSafety and Health Care Week in 2021, boasting the longest history and largestscale in the domestic safety and health field. In its 38th run this year, thisshow is expected to be a diverse exhibition where visitors can see and feelsafety and health firsthand.
