KOES unveils its high-tech BIPV at 2021 Green Energy Expo

KOES participated in the InternationalGreen Energy Expo 2021 held at EXCO, Daegu from April 28 (Wed) to 30 (Fri) andintroduced its building integrated photovoltaic system (BIPV).

KOES Director Jang Nam-hak introduced itsBIPV system and said, “It is a marble model based on ceramic printing. Even thetexture and appearance are the same as marble.” He then said, "Unlikegeneral solar modules, the shape is not visible on the cell and can be used asexterior materials for buildings."

Also, he pointed at the product next to itand said, "It is a multi-layered color model, and is a product that isoften used for window sills of architectural exterior materials." Aboutthe differences with regular solar modules, he said, "It is effective insoundproofing and you do not have to worry about the reflection of sunlight."

Finally, regarding the purpose ofparticipating in the exhibition, he replied, "I have been conductingbusiness mainly for public institutions until now, but now, I want tocommunicate with general customers and various companies, so I participated inthis exhibition.”

The 18th International Green Energy Expo isKorea’s largest, one of Asia’s top 3 and the world’s top 10 new and renewableenergy exhibitions, and the only exhibition jointly organized by the four majorassociations. The exhibition covers △Solar power △ESS (energy storage system)& battery △Smart grid technology △Wind power and △New and renewable energy.This exhibition is hosted by Daegu Metropolitan City and Gyeongsangbuk-do andorganized by EXCO, KNREA, KOPIA, KWEIA, and KHIA.
