Kodebox, (CEO Kwang-yul Seo · Young-min Lee) presents the shareholder management SaaS solution ‘ZUZU’ at the COMEUP 2022 held at the Seoul Dongdaemun Design Plaza (DDP) from November 9th(Wed.) to the 11th (Fri.) for three days.

Kodebox was founded in 2017 and received the spotlight from the industry by developing a blockchain-based STO platform. Based on its high technology, it received initial investment from Kakao Ventures and Dunamu, and after the release of ‘ZUZU’, a shareholder management service for unlisted companies in June 2020, over 4,500 companies have selected it within two years, creating a service that meets the needs of the market. Based on this, they succeeded in attracting Series B investments around 20 billion won from 8 investors in April 2022.

ZUZU is a shareholder management SaaS solution that supports managing the shareholder register, stock options, and tasks for the general meeting of shareholders and board of directors. It has been receiving favorable responses from early-stage entrepreneurs and hands-on workers who are doing shareholder management work for the first time for its easy and intuitive UI and UX, and hundreds of guide documents.

Kodebox official explained, “The unlisted stock market amounts to 12 trillion won, but it lacks the infrastructure to manage and trade securities compared to the listed market. In particular, many startups lack the knowledge about corporate management, and poorly manage securities such as shareholder lists and stock options. Kodebox developed the ZUZU service to help securities in the unlisted market to be managed and traded as valuable assets.”

Around 4,500 companies are currently using ZUZU. The general shareholders’ meetings and board of director meetings held by service users amounts to 14,914 cases, 3,620 cases of stock option, and 7,530 cases of registration by proxy. With the subscription plan launched in May, the number of paid customers is continuously rising, and currently they are working with 11 partner law firms, tax agents, and patent firms.

In December, Kodebox will release the ZUZU for VC service that supports management and operation of individual investment associations.

Having its 4th iteration this year, ‘COMEUP 2022’ was hosted by the Ministry of SMEs and Startups (Minister Young Lee) and organized by the Korea Startup Forum (Chairman Jaewook Park). Startups, investors, and people related to startups from over 15 countries attended, and this year in particular was the start of COMEUP’s rebranding from the previous government-private collaboration to the private-led event that it is now, as it aims to become a global Top 5 startup event. With the slogan of ‘WE MOVE THE WORLD’, the event was conducted both on and offline, and had various programs like Academic Conferences (Conference), Open Innovation Strategy of Global Companies (Open Innovation), COMEUP Stars Company Introduction (IR) and Booth Exhibitions, and Business Matching (Biz Matching).
