K-ICE 2021 opens in Daegu EXCO to cool down the "Daegu Fever"

Hosted by Daegu Metropolitan City andGyeongsangbuk-do, Korea International Cooling Industry Expo 2021 (K-ICE 2021)will be held for three days from July 21 (Wed) to 23 (Fri) at the 1st floorWest Hall of EXCO.

Sponsored by the Ministry of Interior andSafety, which oversees heat waves and disasters, and hosted by DaeguMetropolitan City and Gyeongsangbuk-do, K-ICE 2021 is the only event in Koreawhere a large number of local government officials related to heat waves anddisasters and suppliers to respond to heat waves and fine dust attend.

Daegu Metropolitan City announced thatabout 100 companies participated at the 1st Korea International CoolingIndustry Expo held in 2019, and the suppliers and customers in the relatedindustries were matched for meetings. It has been proven to do the job of coolindustry business platform by achieving 4.9 billion worth of purchaseconsultations.

This exhibition will serve as a venue fornetwork for cool industry-related companies, research institutes,organizations, and associations by displaying various heat blocking productsand technologies like road sprinkler systems, public air conditioning systems,cooling fog, cool roofs, thermal coatings, and roof greening technologies, andfine dust reduction devices, sensors, monitoring systems. With this, products,technologies and services that will blow heat wave and fine dust will beexhibited, from building materials such as insulation materials and insulatingfilms to cool fibers and materials, air conditioners, refrigerators,circulators, fans, dehumidifiers, and water toys.

Especially, Public Domestic PurchaseConsultation, which arranges one-on-one meetings with central and localgovernment officials, will be held for officials from affiliated organizations,officials from education offices, and companies that want to supply products topublic institutions in order to fulfill the role of the best business platformin the cool industry. Also, an on-tact consultation in connection with theKOTRA buyer attraction support project will be held to provide opportunities tohelp find sales channels and stimulate demand for the participating companies.

An EXCO official said, "For the safetyof visitors and participating companies, we plan to limit the number ofsimultaneous visitors in the exhibition hall to one per 6㎡, and arrange safety personnel for quarantine to ventilate theexhibition for 10 minutes every 50 minutes to ensure a safe exhibition."

Sponsored by the Ministry of Interior andSafety and hosted by Daegu Metropolitan City and Gyeongsangbuk-do, KoreaInternational Cooling Industry Expo 2021 will display various products relatedto public goods, industrial goods, and consumer goods. Also, public procurementpurchase consultation and on-tact consultation in connection with the KOTRAbuyer attraction support project will be held.
