[International Green Energy Expo Preview] SPEED TECH’s Highly Efficient Hybrid Security Light Optimized for Cities


SPEED TECH will showcase its “Speedhybrid_SL500”, a highly efficient hybrid security light, at the “13th International Green Energy Expo”, which runs for three days from April 6 to 8 at EXCO in Daegu.

It is a new renewable energy specialized company created by professor Shin Jung-ho and other experts and doctors in the Department of Mechanical Engineering at Changwon National University. It has been studying new renewable energy (wind power, solar power and water power) for years and holds domestic and international patents, certificates, and technologies.

The hybrid security light “Speedhybrid_SL500” has 250W of capacity for wind and solar power generators, respectively. Also, a gearbox generator is applied to its wind power generator. Its wind power generator has 12 semicircle blades, and they rotate vertically based on the wind’s direction.

The company used a gearbox generator designed for the product’s wind power generator. This provides optimized gear ratios and enables generation of power even in low wind. Also, the product is safe via the use of an indirect connection method instead of a direct one, which can affect the longevity of the blade generator.

The wind power generator of Speedhybrid_SL500 can generate average wind speeds of 2~2.5m/s, so it is perfect in cities, whose annual average wind speed is 0~4m/s. Furthermore, the semicircle blades utilize both drag and lift forces. It is a quiet generator that can generate energy in low wind.

The “13th International Green Energy Expo” is a business arena in which companies from solar power, wind power, and new renewable energy fields participate to meet domestic and international buyers with real purchasing power. Various products and services related to materials, components, design, construction, operation services, consulting, green cars, secondary batteries, fuel cells, and solar smart grids will be introduced at the event.
