Windamp (CEO Ha Sung-u, www.windamp.com) showcased the “Fanless Fan (AF1010)”, which is safer and provides cooler breeze by using airflow amplification, at IFA 2015, which runs Sep. 4-9 at Berlin.

The blades of the “Fanless Fan” are hidden, so it is safer to use than existing fans. Its patented technology “Valley Wind” means “the wind between valleys.” The technology was developed based on the idea that wind is cooler and blows stronger between buildings than on flat land.

Thanks to “Valley Wind”, airflow increases up to a maximum 50~100%, and users can save about 50% on electricity costs because the product only uses 15W. Since the device generates straight winds, the company said the cool air can reach much farther.

This product enables two motors to face each other, which rotate in the same direction. This amplifies airflow. There are eight settings, from weak to strong, for wind speed. It can rotate120 degrees, and has an eight-hour timer function, allowing people to use the product safely while sleeping.

In its 56th year, IFA is one of the top trade shows for appliances and multimedia devices presented by 1,400 exhibitors from 50 countries and visited by 240,000 people from all over the world. The main products for this year are smart home products equipped with IoT technology, wearable devices, health tech devices, and ultra-resolution TVs.
