SEOUL, Korea (AVING Special Report on 'World Class Company - Hanamicron') -- <Visual News> HANA Micron is a semi-conductor packaging company, formed by a spinoff from Samsung Electronics in August, 2001. Since then it has been growing rapidly, recording 9.13 million won in sales in 2004. It is going to be listed in KOSDAQ in October,11. Expected sales are 12 million won this year.

And this remarkable growth is the combination of its talent management, core competitiveness in technology & product line, and a distinctive philosophy of CEO.

Recruiting high qualified human resources has been the foremost priority for the company from the very beginning. The chief executive, Chang Ho, Choi has been influenced by Samsung’s philosophy of human resources since he worked for Samsung. So when he first established HANA Micron, he himself visited several vocational schools for campus recruiting and introduced the company. Sixty employees working in HANA Micron has been working for HANA Micron so far ever since they worked together in Samsung Electronics’ semiconductor division. All of them have more than 15 years of working experience in the field except one person.

HANA Micron initially produced LSI (Large Scale Integrated Circuit) products, and has gradually expanded its business area from memory in 2002 to LDI (LCD Drive IC) in 2004. It also produces USB drive and MP3P players under its own brand name to adjust to new digital business environment.
