G Polytec Co., Ltd., (CEO Jung-jin Park) participated in the 2021 K-Chemistry Cyber Exhibition.

G Polytec is focusing on developing eco-friendly products and managing management for the future. In addition, eco-friendly materials such as Sulfadiol-7Q (reactive dispersant for aqueous polyurethane resins) have been developed over the past 10 years.

SULFADIOL®-7Q is a highly reactive dispersant for preparing aqueous polyurethane resin (PUD) with higher hydrolysis resistance and superior storage stability than other types of dispersants such as DMPA and DMBA. SULFADIOL®-7Q consists of a terminal hydroxy group to which sulfonated sodium salt and 4 molecules of propylene oxide are added. It is a chain extension widely used in the synthesis of aqueous polyurethane resins such as woodworking or shoe adhesives (or binders) or artificial leather.

SULFADIOL®-7Q is a highly hydrophilic reactive dispersant for water-soluble polyurethane-based dispersants (PUD) and has excellent compatibility with acidic or basic conditions, and thus can be widely applied to various reagents. It has been developed as a product to replace DMBA and DMPA with carboxyl ion-centered products and has higher hydrophilicity and storage stability than DMPA and lower sensitivity to the effects of the external environment (temperature or pH). In addition, SULFADIOL®-7Q is neutralized into a sulfonated sodium salt type that does not require a neutralizer, allowing more extensive process modifications when preparing a polyurethane dispersion.

Meanwhile, the 2021 K-Chemicals Cyber Exhibition, an online exhibition in the field of chemistry, opened in March and is always in operation, and currently has 270 chemical-related companies.
