STAP-100 is a kind of a router which connects a cell phone and PSTN through Bluetooth technology, and thereby enables you to use a cell phone just like a general telephone at home. It combines the convenience of portability of a cell phone with economical feature of a general telephone.

For you to enjoy this benefit, you have to have a Bluetooth cell phone which employs ‘CTP (Cordless Telephony Profile)’. This is a necessary element for you to dial with a cell phone. There are three models in Korean market that are currently available: Samsung V6900, Samsung E3700, and LG KF 1000. It is expected that this kind of Bluetooth cell phone will be available soon in foreign market.

ImFONE

If you have imFONE, you can use VoIP Instant Messenger with your own cell phone, not a conventional wired headset. As you see the picture, this model is a small device like a USB memory stick, it is portable and convenient. In other words, as long as you have a cell phone and ‘imFONE’ you can use free VoIP Instant Messenger. You don’t need to get roaming service any more.

Currently, imFONE supports SKYPE, imTEL programs. However, with a slight technical work, it is possible to work with other instant messenger programs such as Google Talks chat, iChat AV, MSN, Yahoo, and AIM.

The company said that it is going to release a new cordless phone that can work with imFONE for foreign market.

The company said that they will going to launch another new product in December with which you can use free internet call by just plugging a flash memory (128M) which incorporates VoIP Instant Messenger programs like SKYPE/imTEL. Then there will be no need to install the separate programs in a pc again.
