ELT SENSOR (CEO Lee An), which owns original technologies for non-dispersive infrared (NDIR) sensors, has recently launched the “CH4-D3” Series, the world’s smallest dual channel methane gas sensor modules. The NDIR-type modules support 5V (for CH4-D3) and 3V (for CH4-D3-3V) input power. The series includes the sensor module CH4-D3 and the transmitter H3-CD300. The company also provides related supporting tools TRB-100ST and CMB-10 for testing and recalibrating sensors. The products have an automatic recalibration function. They can calibrate temperatures well and are accurate even after many hours of use. They are safe enough to be used for more than 10 years and the maintenance is easy. Thus, they are being used in various industries. The CH4-D3 measures 0 to 100% LEL (lower explosion limit), and its measurement range is 0~50,000ppm (0~5vol%) and 10,000ppm (1vol%) with accuracy of ± 3% LEL (500ppm). It can be used as a methane gas leakage detector in underground landfills, laboratories, mining districts, gas charging stations, oil drilling ships, and LNG plants. The LEL level changes according to gas types. The product can detect many different types of gases, including methane (CH4), propane (C3H8), butane (C4H10), and ethylene (C2H4). Since many customers focus on methane gas sensors, the default setting is for methane. One ELT SENSOR official said: “The ‘CH4-D3’ Series, the world’s smallest NDIR-type dual channel methane gas sensor, was developed by using original technologies and 10 years of accumulated know-how. It ensures high accuracy and safety.”ELT SENSOR owns the largest number of patents in the country, including the world’s three original NDIR technologies. The company’s NDIR technology is an air quality detection technology that uses infrared rays.It is more accurate and lasts longer than existing electrochemical or semiconductor-type sensors. The company is exporting its products to 40 different countries, including the U.S., Canada, England, Australia, China, Taiwan, India, Germany, and Denmark.(Picture description: “TRB-100ST” is a supporting tool designed to help developers test and examine dual channel methane gas sensors, supporting 5V and 3.3V.
