'Desire HD' of HTC to Load 'Gingerbread' Followed by 'Nexus S' of Google

SEOUL, Korea (AVING) -- <Visual News> HTC (www.htc.com) has recently announced that the operating system of 'Desire HD' which was launched through KT will be upgraded from Android 2.2 to 2.3 Gingerbread within the first quarter next year.

While rising whether smartphones with Android will be upgraded or not as hot issue after the release of next generation OS Android 2.3 Gingerbread of Google (www.google.com) last 6th, HTC seems to plan to strengthen the competitiveness by managing this quickly.

Gingerbread was improved the manipulation and the efficiency of User Interface(UI) compared to prior Froyo version and capacity of power and application managing. Right now, official smartphone with Android 2.3 Gingerbread is the only 'Nexus S' of Samsung Electronics.

'Desire HD' was released through KT last November 30 and iscurrently selling about average 2,000 a day.
