[Connect.W] Smart Signage Company Knowck Signs MOU with Malaysia's Compressed Streaming Service Provider

Knowck signed an MOU with Malaysia's Rock Soft on Nov. 19 at Connect.W, which runs at DDP Seoul, and is ready to enter the global market. They agreed to implement a global cloud call center service and cooperate in providing technical support.

Knowck is a smart signage company that launched its smart signage set-top box Cloudcast last month. Cloudcast is a cloud solution that sends so called "files" to any digital signage and displays. It consists of a server system that controls client devices through device virtualization on a cloud server, and Android-based middleware cast box.

Its device synchronization technology enables users to control multiple client's devices at once, remotely by synchronizing the client application with a virtual device on the cloud system.

It can be used anywhere and anytime, and supports various display types such as personal TV, kiosks, and DIDs. Users have the freedom of choice to install and use any apps with Cloudcast, including third party applications. Also, the integrated management system enables controlling the signage remotely.

Rock Soft, the Malaysian company which signed the MOU with Knowck, is a compressed streaming service provider that can help Knowck's service to be available in ASEAN countries, where the network is much slower than Korea. It is among the top companies in the country for providing the cloud service. It also provides the engine for MyFed Asia, the TV service provider in Malaysia with the set-top box that can carry multiple service providers.

Yazrie Shukri, Founder and CEO of MyFed Asia who signed the MOU last night, said, "Knowck's service had been optimized only for regions with fast internet connection, and the cooperation with us will help Knowck enter the global market."
