Charmacist plans to launch platform that will lead the digital transformation of pharmacies

Variety of solutions ranging from '5 Senses of Jet Lag' for circadian rhythm care to 'Yakgorithm(Medicine+ Algorithms)' for pharmacist consultation

While the non-face-to-face outbreak triggered by COVID-19 accelerates digital transformation across all industries, there are companies that have led the digital era of pharmacies and have taken the lead in resolving the concerns of pharmacies and pharmacists. Charmacist (CEO Byung-joo Kim), which provides customized pharmacy platform services to pharmacist and consumers, is planning to launch various platform services that will lead the digital transformation of pharmacies again this year.

Charmacist plans to launch '5Senses of Jet Lag' in the near future, which takes care of the Circadian Rhythm, which was carried out as a project with Incheon Startup Park and Incheon Airport. '5 Senses of Jet Lag' is a platform that can take care of the circadian rhythm of people who travel with jet lag, such as shift workers, and will be used as a total health solution that combines pharmacist counseling models.

In addition, there is the standardized pharmacist consultation platform 'Yakgorithm', which was selected as a TIPS (Tech Incubator Program for Startup) project last year for joint investment, discovery, and fostering projects by the public and private sectors, and is leading the digital transformation of pharmacies. These platforms are scheduled to be launched sequentially this year and next year with the goal of implementing standardized pharmaceutical services, by providing algorithms that will help consumers recognize their symptoms and provide standardized consultations in pharmacies.

Meanwhile, Charmacist plans to upgrade theirFitamin algorithm, the first domestic O2O customized nutritionsubscription service, where pharmacists consult directly. Charmacist launched 'Fitamin', a vitamin that is perfect for you, by conducting a government-regulated sandbox project with related companies called the 'Health supplement subdivision packaging sales,' and secured 100 stores out of 170 offline stores nationwide and produces and serves 20 types of products.

In particular, Fitamin is achieving encouraging results in the market with their ‘100% pharmacist consultation model’ that covers both online and offline, which can be seen as a digital solution with increased professionalism in pharmacist consultation and consumer convenience. Fitamin is building a pharmacist consultation model in a non-face-to-face environment for pharmacists' non-face-to-face drug and health consultations in connection with the expert-consumer platform. Charmacist is planning to boost satisfaction of both consumers and pharmacists consultations by upgrading many health supplement preparations used in pharmacies, in addition to the products currently provided by Fitamin so that they can be used together.

“If we look at each platform and algorithm that Charmacist wants to develop one by one, their necessity and usability can diminish, but if everything becomes one platform where everything is organically intertwined, the pharmacy as a primary health institution will be able to contribute to the promotion of public health by increasing the role of pharmacists and increasing consumer convenience," said Byung-joo Kim, CEO of Charmacist.

Meanwhile, Charmacist is a participating company in the 'Incheon Airport 3K+ Startup Incubation Project', supported by Incheon Technopark (Incheon TP), and the company said, "Through the 3K support program, we are able to promote our technology and raise brand awareness," adding, "We are grateful to be able to actively promote our services with various support such as Incheon Airport Metaverse Hall."

Since 2020, Incheon Free Economic Zone, Incheon International Airport Corporation, and Incheon Technopark have been operating the ‘Incheon Airport 3K Startup Promotion Project’ to discover and foster startups in the fields of K-culture, K-food, and K-tourism. The 3K Startup Incubation Project supported a total of 20 startups in 2020, resulting in KRW 16.5 billion in sales, 44 new jobs, and attracted KRW 5.7 billion in investments. In 2021, the 3K⁺ startup nurturing project supported 25 startups and added K-Digital and New Deal fields, and was completed in March this year. In the second half of this year, it plans to recruit startups to participate in business for 2022.
