Helite introduced a wearable airbag to protect old people from hip fractures at 'CES 2018 Unveiled' in 7th of January in Las Vegas, United States.

Every year, a large number of elderly people around the world are fatally wounded due to hip fractures. People who die within one year of fractures of the hip are 23 percent of the age of 55 or older. To solve this social problem, Helite has developed an airbag that can be worn all the time. Working with CRITT SL laboratories, many tests were found to reduce its falling impact by 90 %.

The airbag is composed of two side airbags, a gas inflator, and an electronic drop detection device with adjustable waist size for its perfect fit. It is also user-friendly with a battery that can be used for 15 days on a single charge.
