[CES 2018] DisplayLink Introduces a Wireless VR Solution, “DisplayLink XR”

DisplayLink participated in “CES(Consumer Electronics Show) 2018 Unveiled” held on January 7, 2018 in Las Vegas, USA to introduce a wireless VR solution “DisplayLink XR.”

DisplayLink possesses technologies used for world’s prominent PCs and PC accessories, and manufactures chips and software. It supports multi-display extension through connection between wired and wireless VR, monitors, docking stations, video adaptors, etc. Presently, the usual VR solution requires long cable tethers between the head-mounted display and the game PC or console. However, with the wireless display connection embodied by the technologies of “DisplayLink XR”, the user of VR or AR can move much more freely, and can use application programs of completely new scope in the fields of game, simulation, education, and commerce. Especially, DisplayLink XR is not less in the aspects of video quality, delay time, or frame speed than the wired solutions.
