Quantumgames (CEO Gwon Yeong-geon, www.quantumgames.co.kr) introduced its “Screen Baseball System”, which combines projectors and sensor technology, in the joint pavilion of the Mobile Technology Convergence Center (MTCC) at the world’s best IT technology exhibition ‘CES(Consumer Technology Show) 2016’ which runs Jan. 6-9 in Las Vegas Convention Center(LVCC).

The “Screen Baseball System” enables one to enjoy baseball games realistically, even in an indoor setting, by using a projector and sensor technology.

Through this system, users can play baseball games, hitting baseballs in a 4Mx18M room. Three players make a team, and two teams can compete for nine innings.

With the patented sensor technology, it can accurately calculate batted balls, and a wide range of pitches can be used, as the system utilizes a Major League Baseball pitching machine.

Furthermore, players can practice and correct their batting positions via the replay function. Also, through an online system, it supports remote game tournaments. Social functions are available through its mobile app, and it enables players to have more fun while playing.

Quantumgames CEO Gwon Yeong-geon said: “Our screen baseball system is all about indoor sports entertainment with sophisticated sensor technology. Plus, anyone can enjoy playing. Through this CES 2016, we are looking forward to hearing positive feedbacks from foreign buyers.”

Quantumgames is a startup that develops interactive contents. Based on its experience in creating various games, it focuses on entertainment systems that combine hardware and contents. Besides its sports lineup, it is also developing a VR lineup.

MTCC prepared the joint pavilion at this exhibition and supported related domestic companies’ participation in CES 2016, promoting the creative factory supporting business. It is mainly focused on the competitiveness reinforcement business of new mobile convergence in the global market.
