EGIS (CEO Kim Seong-ho, egiskorea.com) unveiled “XDWORLD”, a 3D GIS engine for the construction of space information systems, in the joint pavilion of the Mobile Technology Convergence Center (MTCC) at the world’s best IT technology exhibition ‘CES(Consumer Technology Show) 2016’ which runs Jan. 6-9 in Las Vegas Convention Center(LVCC).

This software automatically creates 3D space data based on 2D GIS space data. It is being applied to various fields, including disaster control and location monitoring, as well as the construction of space information systems.

The representative application cases of the product include KOrea Planning Support System (KOPSS), a landscape planning support system; u-Eco City, a 3D-based ubiquitous city monitoring system; and V WORLD, a high-definition, 3D-based open space information platform.

The “V WORLD” service, provided by the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport, has received reviews that its visible-range, 3D analysis function and rendering speed have reached world-class levels.

The company showcased a national open space information platform that provides 3D space information of the land and buildings. Also, its city planning analysis system supports the efficient management and planning of national territories.

EGIS CEO Kim Seong-ho said: “We will examine IoT-related market trends through this CES 2016. We will place focus on foreign markets through XDWORLD collaborations and discovering new export partners.”

Since its foundation in 2001, the company has acquired GS certificates and patents for each product in the XDWORLD line. The products have been applied to various 2D and 3D GIS fields.

The company’s technical skills have been recognized in diverse fields, including fire protection, land and maritime development, and urban spatial information.
