Business Canvas (CEO Andy Woojin Kim), presents the document-based knowledge management tool ‘Typed’ at the COMEUP 2022 held from November 9th(Wed.) to the 11th(Fri.) for three days at the Seoul Dongdaemun Design Plaza (DDP).
‘Typed’, developed and operated by Business Canvas, is a powerful, next-generation document-based collaborationtool that has the advantage of strong knowledge utilization. Within nine months after the end of CBT, Typed, which is used in 184 countries around the world, is showing very rapid growth even in comparison to other global unicorn collaboration tools. Within a year and six months since the establishment of the corporation, an accumulated investment of 7.3 billion won was completed, and is currently closing the Series A2 Round investment of 8 billion won.
With the recent addition of the document-based communication and management function, ‘Typed’ is evolving into a form that enables document collaboration within the company. In the past, data collection, document preparation,document sharing, and feedback was dispersed all over and data was lost in that process. However,Typed seeks to overcome this through document collaboration. It plans to introduce functionsthatfacilitate information management such asdatamanagementcenteredaroundthosedocuments that are the finalproducts, which enables Typed to recommend data,andthe network-typedata managementsystemthat exceeds the limits of the original folder system.
A Business Canvas official explained, “Typed has been receiving enthusiastic responses from the global market. It wasrecently selected as today’s No.1 product on ‘Product Hunt’, which is a global software billboard chart, and was also the first Korean SaaS startup to be selected for TechCrunch Disrupt Battlefield Top 50.We are about to globally expand Typed, which is currently being used in 184 different countries,so we decided to participate in the COMEUP 2022 in order to share our achievements and future plans.”
Business Canvas plans to keep upgrading Typed so that it can be used for knowledge management and project management within the organization. To do this, they are planning on linking project management function, self-editing, user-data insight, strengthening data recommendation and more services. In addition, they are currently upgrading the mobile app so that Typed can be used more conveniently on mobile. It is considering the release of a desktop app based on the user’s demands.
Having its 4th iteration this year, ‘COMEUP 2022’ was hosted by the Ministry of SMEs and Startups (Minister Young Lee) and organized by the Korea Startup Forum (Chairman Jaewook Park). Startups, investors, and people related to startups from over 15 countries attended, and this year in particular was the start of COMEUP’s rebranding from the previous government-private collaboration to the private-led event that it is now, as it aims to become a global Top 5 startup event. With the slogan of ‘WE MOVE THE WORLD’, the event was conducted both on and offline, and had various programs like Academic Conferences (Conference), Open Innovation Strategy of Global Companies (Open Innovation), COMEUP Stars Company Introduction (IR) and Booth Exhibitions, and Business Matching (Biz Matching).
