Botash will participate in ‘KOREA PACK Special & ICPI WEEK 2021’ held at KINTEX, Goyang from May 25 (Tue) to 28 (Fri) and will unveil the ecofriendly cold storage box and ice pack.
Founded in February 2020, Botash manufactures and sells cold storage boxes and ice packs using eco-friendly plastic biomass materials. DY Pro, the parent company, runs an online distribution business.
A Botash official said, “We have had remarkable achievements since the first year of establishment in 2020. Our projects have been finally selected for Yonsei University industry-academic joint technology development project and are pending a patent for ‘functional corrugated board with antibacterial and water-repellent enhancements’. At the end of last year, we won the Minister of Environment’s Award at the Eco Design Competition and successfully attracted investments (118% funding success) through Wadiz funding.”
The cold storage box and ice pack introduced in this exhibition were made using eco-friendly plastics. Biomass, extracted from sugar cane, is the main raw material. In addition, the cold storage box is made by laminating Bio-PET and paper on corrugated cardboard and is equipped with waterproof and cold insulation functions. The cold storage can be recycled since it is ‘paper type’. An official at Botash said, “Eco-friendly plastics include EL724 (biodegradable resin) and EL727 (biomass synthetic resin), and we use EL727, which is easy for waste disposal and is recyclable,” expressing pride in the products.
Meanwhile, before the opening of 2021 Korea Pack, an online exhibition service to meet exhibitors was unveiled on the 17th (Mon.). This online exhibition hall is designed for overseas buyers, who are facing difficulties in entering the Korean market due to the prolonged COVID-19, as well as domestic SMEs who are struggling with overseas expansion. Targeting domestic exhibitors and overseas buyers matched through the online exhibition service, 2021 Korea Pack will support export channels by holding the first video-based export consultation meetings at KINTEX from the 25th to the 28th.
