BlueSignum was born with the vision of becoming a service that can closely help people live with better emotions every day. The company started in the summer of 2019 at Seoul National University as a team that was creating a pet penguin robot called ‘Pongpongi’ for 1 person families. BlueSignum is currently preparing for the upcoming official launch of Lighthouse, a self-care service.

It has received 3 counts of seed investment in DHP, Mashup Angels, and SpringCamp, and it plans on attending CES in 2023 with support from the Seoul Digital Foundation after winning the excellence award in Stage Eureka.

Lighthouse is an AI-based mental healthcare solution, which is able to lower the dropout rate of talents of companies through tailored self-care activities and maximize satisfaction. Unlike services that connect people with a counselor, Lighthouse is able to use technology to set a more reasonable price and can provide various contents that go beyond just meditation and provide wide ranging solutions.

Utilizing various form of data, it is able to analyze the characteristics and current condition of users, and it uses this analysis to provide personalized treatment content. The therapy content which is delivered in a chat format can be adjusted and changed according to the user’s answers, and personalized daily quests and short activities can be created accordingly. To do this, it uses not only the user’s input from the machine learning based prediction and analysis model, but also uses other manual digital expression data as well to calculate the user’s symptoms and psychological resources. In addition, it uses time series analysis and deep learning models from data accumulated in the app for higher quality in recommendations and to preemptively intervene in case of dangerous situations.

BlueSignum chose the ability to affordably access treatment 24 hours a day with just a mobile device to increase the stability and quality of life of users as Lighthouse’s best feature. In addition, Lighthouse’s content library includes over 10 categories of psychological treatment, and each content can be tailor made for users to experience a hyper-personalized user experience. Each content responds to user input and changes itself to match the user’s preferences, allowing users to have a more personalized and effective experience.

Sang Lee(COO) of the company explained Lighthouse is able to give a very accurate diagnosis and provide recommendations through data collected from user input and phenotypes. Lighthouse doesn’t only rely on information from its own report, but also uses additional data that has been accumulated with the use of the app to create a more intricate recommendation algorithm to provide an accurate and comprehensive understanding of the user’s needs and preferences.
