BioVai Korea Co., Ltd. (CEO Yong-hak Lee) participated in the 2021 K-Chemicals Cyber Exhibition.
BioVai Korea’s mission, a company specializing in “beauty, health, and fashion care,” is to provide innovative products with the best quality, efficiency, and safety to people around the world. The main focus is ice care-related products (ICE CARE BAND, ICE COOLCARE MASK), which provides a quick skin-soothing effect by lowering the temperature targeted at people with a lot of outdoor activities such as leisure and sports, office workers, and people with puffy faces.
Modern people are suffering from problems such as stress, makeup problems, and swelling of the face. In addition, masks have become mandatory due to the COVID-19 situation causing thermal aging, poor skin elasticity, and formation of wrinkles, and ICE COOLCARE MASKS take care of these skin problems.
Existing ice-related products using average ice were not as effective in terms of function and practicality, because of short duration, the occurrence of condensation, and inconvenience in use and portability. BioVai Korea said that while researching ways to improve this, they have learned that temperature-change substances (PCMs) have a better effect than average ice and started the development of the product.
It is designed as a 3D solid with a multi-compartment filling structure and self-cooling in an environment below 18°C using an organic PCM with a melting point of 18°C, so the duration is long and there is no condensation.
Also, ice points were placed around the acupoints of the face to help the skin heal naturally. In recognition of this technology, the ICE COOLCARE MASK was also selected as an innovative product at the “K-Beauty Expo” held in October 2021.
BioVai Korea’s ice care products have the advantage of being cooled in 15 minutes in a refrigerator, freezer, or icebox and can be frequently used. It has also doubled the competitiveness of the product with various and trendy designs.
An official from BioVai Korea said, “We hope that our products will help heal the tired and stressful environment of the ongoing COVID-19 virus infection.”
Meanwhile, the 2021 K-Chemicals Cyber Exhibition, an online exhibition in the field of chemistry, opened in March and is always in operation, and currently has 270 chemical-related companies. It supports overseas marketing of domestic companies in a contact-free manner and boasts the largest scale in Korea where you can see various product information of industrial chemicals (paint, adhesive, surfactant, MDI, Polybutene, polyol, catalyst, foaming agent, additives, pipes, living plastics, additives, etc.) and cosmetics (sunblock, lotion, shampoo, face masks, etc.).
The chemical industry is closely linked to major industries such as electronics and automobiles and is especially at the center of the global issue of carbon neutrality. In line with this, the Korea Precision Chemical Industry Promotion Association (KSCIA), the organizer, is helping domestic chemical companies advance overseas through various support such as export, research and analysis, technical standards, HDR support, and international agreements. Based on companies entering online permanent exhibition halls in the chemical sector, it has accumulated more than $136 million in 2021 as of the third quarter and is holding online export consultations with KOTRA in addition to entering the online permanent exhibition hall.
