Root Robotics takes its first step into the Asian market through an exclusive contract with Coding & Play, a domestic coding education company.

Coding & Play announced that it has concluded a contract to get domestically supplied with ‘Root Robot’, a robot for coding education of root robotics.

The ‘Root robot’ developed in Wyss Institute’, a research institute in Harvard, will be used in a computer science class in Harvard university, providing users of all ages the perfect learning experiences since the exclusive app is designed to grow along with a user based on the user's skill and knowledge level. In addition, the coding interface of root’s three levels enables a core education such as logic, problem solving, and creativity.

Zee Dubrovsky, co-founder and CEO of Root Robotics, said, “This contract is one of strong will to supply root robots to the global market as well as to the US,” and “I am pleased to be working with Coding & Play, leading the coding education in Korea with a coding education, utilizing innovative curriculum based on computing thinking.

In addition, Ryu Kyung-Hee, Director of Coding & Play Marketing, said, “I was impressed with the effort of Root Robostics, developing a robot for coding education so that children could learn about it with curiosity” and “I am delighted to introduce this innovative product for domestic coding education.”

On the other hand, Coding & Play is a specialized company in coding education in Korea, develops monthly textbooks for children to raise their computing thinking systemically and supplies these textbooks to educational institutions, and conduct coding education through a coding education center of Coding & Play. Through the conclusion of this partnership, root-customized curriculum developed by Coding & Play and root robot can be seen at the national Coding & Play center.

Coding & Play and Root Robotics are participating in ‘CES 2018’ held in Las Vegas, the U.S.A. from 9th to 12th in Jan.(local time).
