[BCB 2020] Idong Brewery 1957 introduces Idong Rice Makgeolli made by traditional fermentation method

Idong Brewery 1957 participated in Bar Convent Berlin (BCB2020) in Berlin, Germany held as an online exhibition from Oct. 12 to 18, and introduced the traditionally fermented Idong Rice Makgeolli.

The makgeolli from Idong Brewery isfermented in a traditional way. The makgeolli fermented using a jar is inharmony with the clean taste and body of makgeolli made by the golden ratio ofrice and wheat.

The color is white and clear, and you can feel the sweet and fresh scent of plant that comes from it. Overall, it has a good balance of five tastes, very clean swallowing, and taste that goes well with charcoal barbecue.

The official introduced, "We get thewater from Baegun Valley in Idong-myeon, Pocheon-si, Gyeonggi-do, where isfamous for its clear water. We make makgeolli from the rock water drawn from200m underground, so the taste is clear and soft, with refreshing aftertaste.”

He then added, "It is a fermentedliquor that is naturally fermented by microorganisms from rice or wheat as itsmain ingredient. It contains necessary amino acid protein and vitamin B complexvery useful for people, so it is a liquor that’s helpful for people’s health.”

The International Bar and Beverage Tradeshow (BCB2020) is an exhibition of the alcoholic beverages and the beverageindustry with a long history, and people in the bar and pub industryparticipate in various related programs. Due to COVID-19, it will be heldonline this year, and a series of exhibitions in the UK (Imbibe), Brazil, andthe US will also be held at the same time, attracting buyers from all over theworld.

As a part of the export consortium projectreplacement project, KBIZ gave support to participate in BCB2020 in an effortto develop overseas sales channels for small and medium-sized enterprises thatare going through difficult times due to the COVID-19 pandemic and enhanceexport vitality.
