Argosdyne (CEO JEONG Seung-ho) participated in the Korea-U.S. Startup Summit, which was held from Sept 20th(Tues) to the 21st(Wed, local time) in Pier 17 in New York, USA.

Argosdyne is a company established in 2018 that develops and sells automatic operation system platforms for unmanned vehicles. Argosdyne provides an unmanned management solution based on the development and production of autonomous drones, automatic charging stations, and control software. 50% of the employees consist of quality research manpower, and they are devoted to research and development in order to meet the customer’s needs. They are developing 5G based drones in collaboration with Naver Cloud, and their self-developed autonomous management system plays various roles in different environments such as fire monitoring, highway control, construction site management, bridge inspection, and surveilling industrial facilities.

The types of drones offered by Argosdyne include 5G based drones for control systems and bridge inspection drones. Automatic charging stations include the CUNA, which is a fixed station, and the movable PORTUS and the mobile ROVER.

The drone is lightweight, around 2kg if a small battery is attached, and has a small size with 500mm in width x 450mm in length. It has a maximum flight time of around 60 minutes, and it prides itself on the high location accuracy with the equipping of a dual GPS. In addition, customers can also customize the drone by choosing from a selection of various gimbal cameras that can be attached. The drones for bridge inspections can be used even under the bridge or inside tunnels where the GPS connection may be unstable, and it can also be used to observe exterior wall cracks.

Fixed stations offer automatic charging and precision landing through the IR sensor. The stations come in various models, such as a fixed model, a movable model, and a mobile model. In the case of the ROVER, its mobility allows for the drone to be utilized in various environments. It can even move over land, allowing for it to be used for multiple purposes.
