Annova to announce its suite of ingest and video production tools 'OpenMedia 4MORE'

LAS VEGAS, USA (AVING Special Report on 'NAB Show 2009') -- <Visual News> Annova Systems announced 'OpenMedia 4MORE', its suite of ingest and video production tools that fully integrate with the OpenMedia newsroom and rundown management system.

Based on the award-winning VPMS video content management platform from S4M (www.s4m.de), OpenMedia 4MORE takes advantage of Omneon server technology to provide journalists and producers with all the tools that they need to ingest, browse, edit and distribute video material straight from their OpenMedia desktops.

OpenMedia 4MORE expands OpenMedia functionality and offers comprehensive video and asset management tools across the four steps of the workflow: ingest, browse, edit and distribution. Comprehensive ingest tools support scheduled, as well as crash recording of video feeds, files and tapes. The combination of recording templates and a centralized database facilitate recurrent recording jobs. As soon as material is ingest on the Omneon video server, a low bit-rate proxy is generated and made available to all networked users.

OpenMedia 4MORE browse tools empower journalists and editors to search, retrieve, view and annotate available material from their desktop workstations. The fast editing tools make shot selection, voice over recording and multi-track audio editing simple. The resulting edits can either be rendered and distributed as a final package or exported to Apple Final Cut Pro editing workstations for advanced production. Because all these tools are integrated in the OpenMedia virtual desktop, usability is dramatically enhanced and journalist training simplified.
