The ‘2022 International Green Car Exhibition’, hosted by Gwangju Metropolitan City and organized by the Kimdaejung Convention Center and KOTRA, was held on the 21st at the Kimdaejung Convention Center exhibition hall with a scale of 12,000㎡in Gwangju Metropolitan City.
The International Green Car Exhibition, which marks its 14th anniversary this year, will be held for three days until the 23rd (Sat), and will be held jointly with related exhibitions, the International ManufacturingTechnology (Ppuri)Fair and the International IoT Appliance Robot Fair. The International IoT Appliance Robot Fair will showcase items leading the ‘smart life’ industry, and the International Manufacturing Technology (Ppuri) Fair will showcase the essential 14 root technologies that are fundamental to manufacturing.
This year’s exhibition will consist of 450 booths from a total of 300 domestic and foreign companies, and 100 leading buyers are expected to visit the exhibition both online and offline, as aggressive marketing campaigns have been strengthened beyond the influence of COVID-19.
ENplus, which will participate in this exhibition for the first time, will display their EV cargo truck, which is the first vehicle in Korea applied with anElectronically Controlled Air Suspension (ECAS) system. Their 1-ton EV shaft extension series will also be introduced.
Mercedes-Benz will showcase their all-electric EQ series. At the same time, an outdoor test drive event will be held with EQS, the brand’s premium series. As a luxury brand, Mercedes-Benz’s electric carsare expected to enhance the quality of the event.
The Korea Institute of Industrial Technology, Gwangju Institute of Green-car Advancement, and Korea Transportation Safety Authority are promoting research equipment, finished vehicles, and automobile-related policies. Various special vehicles such as tactical vehicles, fire engines, and cleaning vehicles are on display in the Gwangju Special Pavilion for Specific Purpose Vehicles.
Switzerland-based DKSH is also presenting their HP 3D printer Jet Fusion 5200. It is expected to provide a new production solution by applying an additive manufacturing method beyond the capabilities of injection molding manufacturing methods.
In addition to the main exhibition, this year’s exhibition will also hold various additional events that ordinary citizens can participate in, such as an auto camping and leisure show, as well astest drive events from Mercedes-Benz, Kawasaki, and Personal Mobility.
Top companies in the motorbike industry, such as BMW Motorrad, Harley-Davidson, Kawasaki, and Vespa, will be on the spotlight in the Riding Pavilion. At the same time, Gwangju Rabbit Motorcycle, SAMBIKE, and Infobike are expected to play an important role in the Riding Pavilion as representatives of Gwangju’s motorcycle, bicycle and personal mobility industries.
Camping cars and camping caravans will hold camping shows in the outdoor plaza. A variety of campers and caravans, from mini caravans to large trailer caravans, are expected to attract the attention of many “campers” in the area.
Sang-mook Kim, president of the Kimdaejung Convention Center, said, “We will do our best to create an exhibition that will satisfy all participating companies, visitors, and overseas buyers.”
Meanwhile, at the exhibition hosted by Gwangju Metropolitan City and organized by Gwangju Institute of Green-car Advancement, Kimdaejung Convention Center, and KOTRA, △Mobility such as eco-friendly cars, personal mobility, and purpose built vehicles△Automotive components such as electric parts, Rechargeable batteries and batteries, and chargers, and △Drones such as service drones, commercial drones, and UAMs will be exhibited and introduced. In addition, events such as export consultation sessions for overseas business and the imagination drone experience zone will be held simultaneously during the exhibition.
