Shinsung ENG participated in the International Green Energy Expo 2021 held at EXCO, Daegu from April 28 (Wed) to 30 (Fri) and introduced its high-output solar power module and zero energy buildings.

Shinsung ENG’s products are manufactured in flawless air-conditioning technology, thoroughly removing foreign substances that can cause reduction in power generation, and manufactures them directly in Korea based on continuous R&D and provides proven solar cells and solar modules through rigorous quality inspection.
At the Green Energy Expo exhibition hall, AVING News met Shinsung ENG’s Module Sales Team Leader Lee Min-young to interview on the solar power module and zero energy building.
Q1. Company introduction
A. Lee: Shinsung ENG is the first-generation solar power company in Korea that celebrates its 44th anniversary this year. Recently, we have made aggressive investments in solar power modules. As a result, in November 2020, the company built a new module line in Gimje, Jeollabuk-do to have a 1GW-class production line.
Q2. Product introduction and outstanding points
A. Lee: We are planning to launch the double-sided module with by the second half of this year. It is a module that boasts 535~555W-class output by using M10 cell, and all of these products are high-power, high-efficiency models that show more than 20% efficiency. In addition, the 110kW and 250kW-class stream inverters that can be applied to the product are about to be released soon.
As high-durability eco-friendly certification has recently been spread in Korea, Shinsung ENG has also prepared a highly durable eco-friendly certification module that meets the requirements. The highly durable, eco-friendly 455W product can be used in farms and for water-type solar power. Especially, to prove the excellence of our products, the quality period is set to 12 years, and it boasts excellent durability that guarantees 98% performance guarantee for one year and 85% for 25 years. Also, a salt mist test was conducted, and we obtained the highest cycle with the highest grade.
Also, Solar Skin, which was jointly developed with Kolon Global to go one step ahead of the mandatory zero-energy building, is a color BIPV (building integrated solar power system) that can replace architectural exterior materials. Currently, there are three colors on display: white, light gray, and terracotta. It can also be used in regular buildings, and goes well with the exterior design. Last year, it installed a 4.8kW solar skin on the test bed of the KIER, successfully delivering it.
Q3. Future plans
A. Lee: Most of the products released in Korea have improved the output by increasing the wafer size. But in the future, the method of improving output by increasing cell efficiency rather than a module will be commercialized. In line with this, I will focus on releasing high-efficiency modules by participating in cell development with perovskite materials.
