Keukdong Energy (CEO Sagong Myeong-geon)participated in the International Green Energy Expo 2021 held at EXCO, Daegufrom April 28 (Wed) to 30 (Fri) and introduced its hot water and heating systemby using solar energy.

As a registered company specializing in newand renewable energy, Keukdong Energy is recognized for its unrivaledtechnology and know-how through continuous research and investment in solarpower and solar energy. Especially, by installing a new renewable energyeco-friendly system using solar energy for the first time in Korea, CO2 wasdrastically reduced, and the electronic operation automatic control method wasadopted to obtain patent registration and certification under the Patent Law.

At the Green Energy Expo exhibition hall,AVING News met Keukdong Energy’s CEO Sagong Myeong-geon to interview on hotwater and heating system by using solar energy.

Q1. Company introduction

A. Sagong: We are a venture company,INNOBIZ, and Main Biz, and have been certified as company affiliated researchinstitute supplying material parts, and we sell and construct solar power andsolar electric water heaters. We specialize in solar heat utilizationtechnology, and has about 30 related patents.

Q2. Introduction to main products

A. Sagong: We have a hot water and heatingsystem using a solar heat source and a convergence system that can be used withelectric heating. The heating products using solar heat sources in summer,introduced at this exhibition have the advantage of being able to use two heat sourcestogether.

Also, when heating or large-capacity hotwater is needed, several solar collectors are installed and built into onesystem. When the temperature of the solar heat collecting unit is over 60degrees, the heat source produced through direct solar heating circulates theroom. Then, the system consisting of a solar collector and a heat storage tankstores the heat source produced in the heat storage tank when the desiredheating temperature is reached, and then uses the heat source again at night.At this time, if the heat storage tank heating is insufficient, the existingboiler starts heating.

Q3. Features of the product

A. Sagong: Since solar direct heating ispossible without going through a boiler, it is 30% more efficient thanconventional boilers. Also, compared to other fossil fuels, heating costs canbe reduced by about 80%.

Q4. Case of saving energy by solar power

A. Sagong: A solar hot water system wasinstalled three years ago at the Gyeonggi Youth Training Center. Statistically,the fuel saving effect is estimated to be about 61-70% per year, and thenursing facility is seeing a fuel cost reduction effect of about 80% or moreper year.

Q5. Future new product development plan

A. Sagong: We are accelerating thedevelopment of products that can be easily used in everyday life by producingtwo or more energies with one energy source.

In October 2022, we will launch a solarpanel system including a plate heat exchanger and a heat sink inserted into theinside of the heat collecting tube and a composite energy generation deviceproducts using solar and solar heat such as solar energy system including a PVpanel and a vacuum tube. They will be available for sales then.
