Hansol Technics participated in theInternational Green Energy Expo 2021 held at EXCO, Daegu from April 28 (Wed) to30 (Fri) and introduced its M6–485W double-sided module, M10-540W high-outputdouble-sided module, and BIPV-ruba.

In the recent situation where Chinese solarpower companies are increasing their market share in the Korean market, HansolTechnics has secured market competitiveness through outstanding qualityproducts and customer follow-up management, protecting the pride of Koreancompanies.

At the Green Energy Expo exhibition hall,AVING News met Hansol Technics Team Leader Oh Yun-geun to interview on thehigh-output double-sided module and BIPV-ruba.

Q1. Company introduction

A. Oh: The Hansol Group spun off fromSamsung Group in 1991 and became an independent company. Hansol Technics ismanufacturing wireless charging antenna modules for TVs and mobile phones, which are the core of the electric/electronic industry, in China, Thailand, andVietnam (Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh) as well as Korea, and has excellent manufacturingcompetitiveness in the field of new and renewable energy. Starting with theproduction of 50 ㎿ solar modules in 2010, we began thesolar business in full force and have continued to grow since then, securing aproduction line of 500 ㎿ solar power modules.

Q2. Flagship line model

A. Oh: In the first half of this year, 480Wto 485W-class modules were released, and in the second half of this year, 530Wor higher modules with M10 cells will be released. Currently, we have firstlaunched a high-power model in the Korean photovoltaic industry, where 440W to450W output products are dominating, and will target the market withoutstanding competitiveness.

Also, air ventilator Ruba constructionmaterials combined with the solar power module, we will launch a BIPV model ina variety of lineups. In line with the Green New Deal policy, the company isdeveloping products that comply with the mandatory new renewable business andhelp achieve low-carbon green growth.

Q3. What are the solar power module construction examples or results?

A. Oh: We started the solar business infull force since 2010. At the time, we started with 50MW per year and now has aproduction line of 500MW, which is more than 10 times higher. Also in 2019,together with Hanyang E&C, we have supplied about half of the solar powermodule to the 100MW onshore solar power plant.

Q4. Future plans

A. Oh: In the past, we conducted overseasprojects for countries like the US and Australia together, but now, we areconducting more new and renewable energy businesses in Korea with the help fromthe Green New Deal policy. So this year, we are going to focus on thecapabilities we have secured so far in Korea. Also, we will expand our marketin the Southeast Asian market, where Korean premiums can be considered.

In the past, the solar module powergeneration project has been mainly conducted in farmland or forest fields. Inthe future, demand for public and private buildings is expected to increase dueto the increase in the ratio of mandatory new and renewable energy in buildingsand the step-by-step promotion of the zero building policy. Accordingly, it isexpected that the demand for BIPV modules will continue to increase, and by launchinga variety of lineups, we are trying to secure competitive advantage overcompetitors.

The 18th International Green Energy Expo isKorea’s largest, one of Asia’s top 3 and the world’s top 10 new and renewableenergy exhibitions, and the only exhibition jointly organized by the four majorassociations. The exhibition covers △Solar power △ESS (energy storage system)& battery △Smart grid technology △Wind power and △New and renewable energy. This exhibition is hosted by Daegu Metropolitan City and Gyeongsangbuk-do andorganized by EXCO, KNREA, KOPIA, KWEIA, and KHIA.
