The 2021 Busan Medical & Hospital Equipment Show (hereinafter referred to as ‘KIMES BUSAN 2021’) will be held on the 29th (Fri) in the entire 1st floor of Exhibition Hall 2, BEXCO, Busan.
This exhibition is co-hosted by Korea E&X, Korea Medical Device Industry Cooperative Association, Korea Medical Devices Industry Association, and KNN represents Busan Gyeongnam. It will be held for three days from October 29 (Fri) to 31 (Sun), with the support of related organizations including Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy, Ministry of Health and Welfare, Ministry of Food and Drug Safety, Korea Health Industry Development Institute, Busan Medical Association, Gyeongsangnam-do Medical Association, Busan Hospital Association, and Medical Newspaper.

It is held for the 4th time this year and is a regional specialized medical industry exhibition covering Daegu, Ulsan, Gyeongbuk, and Gyeongnam which are centered around Busan to vitalize regional economy. It is also a place for to explore all the global trend of the industry, therefore, more than 10,000 visitors including medical industry officials, buyers, and dealers visit to provide opportunities for communication between customers and various networks such as B2B, B2C, and C2C.
The KIMES BUSAN 2021 exhibition will build an optimized K-Quarantine system in the exhibition hall considering the safety of exhibitors and visitors as the top priority to prevent the spread of COVID-19. Last year, they held a clean exhibition with a thorough quarantine solution in the COVID-19 situation, and this year, they plan to quickly respond to the changing situation and hold it safely.
The entrance and exit of the exhibition hall are restricted and the exhibition is operated through thorough step-by-step quarantine procedures. All visitors register with the electronic access list, and if a high temperature of 37.5 degrees or higher is detected by the thermal imaging camera or facial recognition fever detector, a second measurement is taken with a non-contact thermometer to determine whether or not to enter. When entering, you must use hand sanitizer and then wear a mask.
In addition, through the quarantine system in the exhibition hall, it is necessary to prevent the deviation of the visitors from the moving line and to minimize the contact between the visitors to prevent the infection route in advance by maintaining the movement interval. The ventilation system will be operated to maintain the place well ventilated through the policy.
Visitors can see more than 3,000 state-of-the-art medical devices at a glance, including infection-related quarantine equipment, radiation diagnostic equipment, ultrasound diagnostic equipment, medical information systems, laser surgery equipment, sterilization and disinfection equipment, rehabilitation and physical therapy equipment, and aging-related medical equipment. Also, Robot medical devices, body composition analyzers, beauty/plastic surgery devices, age-friendly products, and rehabilitation and health-related devices can also be found, which are becoming issues due to the advent of convergence medical devices and an aging society.
The medical and joint corporation related participants such as The Busan Techno Park corporate common facility, the Ministry of Food and Drug Safety, the Korea Health Industry Development Institute, the National Institute of Medical Device Safety Information, the Korea Testing Laboratory, Inje University Industry-University Cooperation Foundation, Daejeon Technopark, Wonju Medical Device Techno Valley joined the show and ,and the K-Quarantine pavilion responding to COVID-19 and the hospital health care center in which Busan regional hospitals participate are organized and operated.
In addition, in order to enhance the synergy effect of the KIMES BUSAN 2021 exhibition, the KOMED Regional Medical Decentralization Forum and Medi Busan 2021 (Citizen Health Expo) will be held simultaneously on the 3rd floor of Exhibition Hall 2, and more local medical personnel and Busan citizens are expected to participate.
During the same period, seminars on various topics such as global medical device market trends and strategy presentations for market entry, in vitro diagnostic medical devices and extracorporeal shock wave seminars, and hospital operation seminars are held in the seminar room.
The opening hours are from 10 am to 5 pm, and it is also exhibited on Saturday and Sunday for the visit of medical personnel.
