Korea Environmental Industry & Technology Institute, One-stop support for environment-based demonstration experiment base, trial product, overseas advancement
The environmental industrial research complex is the first specialized research complex in Korea that supports empirical research of environmental companies in priority, and have created in the scale of 18,000 ㎡ (total floor area of 44,000 ㎡) on the site of the Incheon Comprehensive Environmental Research Complex, and have set various facilities needed for research development of the tenant enterprises.
Especially, it focuses on the research infrastructure of the environment technology such as the research laboratory, the pilot test building, the test-bed, the prototype manufacturing facility, and the facility for the demonstration experiment of the developed technology, it is an eco-friendly research complex that has created half of the site as an ecological pond and a phytoncide garden for researchers' rest.
Researcher Seo Seung-Joo of Planning and Finance Team said, “The target tenant of research complex are businessman, agency, organizations that are engaged in R & D in the environmental field, such as water, waste, air, biological resources, and living environment” and added, “The tenant companies of research complex receives specialized support from specialized for all processes such as R & D, demonstration experiments, prototype production, and overseas entry”.
Moreover he told, “It is possible to utilize various facilities and equipment’s inexpensively, and the Korea Environmental Industry & Technology Institute will closely support the difficulties common to SMEs such as establishing long-term technology roadmap, financing, and entering overseas markets”.
This research complex is expected to play a key role in becoming a global company by providing various infrastructure necessary for environmental technology development to the tenant companies as it is established for systematic upbringing of the environmental industry as a national strategic industry.

Meanwhile, in ‘The 9th International Climate Environment Fair’ export consultation, environmentally distributed rainwater management methodology (LID methodology), a food collection system using RFID, an environmentally friendly processing system for animals, an environmental pollution prevention facility, and an energy plant will be introduced. In addition, various programs such as export consultation, MOU conclusion, job fair, symposium, workshop are prepared.
